    2. 2.5 stars. Good set-up short to gather interest in upcoming novel. Liked gradual world building of vampires, werewolves, and fae; and also building of relationships surrounding Irulan and Valeria. Personally not sure about lesbian lusting after straight (?) girl concept. Passages that seemed a little over-wordy, grammar and spelling mistakes bugged me a little.

    3. Very short, but still unable to finish it. About halfway through, my eyes just skimmed over the boring text without taking anything in. Unedited is not the worst of it. Grammar mistakes are easy enough to ignore, but the writing was really amateurish and made everything uninteresting.

    4. Very sexy vampire read. I enjoyed the action that came about. Ready and waiting for more. More action then the first one. I truly loved the conflict that Irulan is facing.
