    About C.B. Conwy

    1. Doing relatively sane and responsible things during the day, I m always looking forward to coming home to see what my characters have been up to It s only very rarely what I want them to do, but there you go I have no problems whatsoever reading both Flaubert and smut although not at the same time , and the only thing I like than chocolate is a good comfort read.To me, the best thing about writing is the rush it s almost a physical high when you re writing and it s going well As for the worst part Nobody ever told me that fictional characters do exactly as they please All that talk about the author s intention This author is running around, desperately trying to figure out what my heroes want to do and then coaxing everybody into something vaguely resembling a consistent plot Sigh.

    1. This short story about a somewhat slob-like forestry specialist and a compulsively neat interior decorator is a great mix between humor, opposites attracting, and kinky play. The dog, a Newfoundland puppy called Mischa ("bear" in Russian), is a great secondary character and I loved how he was the catalyst to Cliff and Gerard's relationship changing into something new and better – for both of them.Cliff is very relaxed, loves to be outside, he does work as a forester, after all, and he adores d [...]

    2. Review posted at Brief Encounters Reviews.4.75 starsThis was really one of the most adorable stories! I've really enjoyed CB Conwy's writing in the past, and A Russian Bear is one of my favorite BDSM novels. This story is autonomous to that series, but has a clever connection to it that only made me like this story even more.On the day that Cliff takes home a giant brown Newfoundland puppy, he meets Gerard, a somewhat stuffy and proper interior designer who mistakes the bundle of fur for a bear. 4. Reviewed for Hearts On Fire ReviewsThis short story is so charming. Cliff is an outdoor kind of guy, not afraid to get dirty. He loves dogs, and had two, King and Dolly, who died fairly close together. As a true dog person, he swore he’d never get another. And then, well, he did. When he saw a sign for Northern Newfoundland puppies, he just had to look, as he used to play with the neighbors Newfoundland when he was a kid. Next thing he knows, he’s a puppy owner. He met the very neat, very cl [...]

    5. Free Christmas sip from Torquere.A cute little story about scruffy Cliff his new newfoundland pup Misha and his new boyfriend the super-neat Gerard. Misha is a messy muddy lump of fun.At the end there's mild kink which did seem a little out of place with the cutesy set-up but it is very mild. Also there's the story then the sex scene, so its easy to skip if you choose.

    6. A short sip indeed, but a decent story line in those short pages! The devastation of a Newfound Land shaking mud out of its coat is ably described and is the turning point for Gerard and Cliff's relationship - but which way it goes is to be seen!
