They are published by Guideposts so are clean cozies with a strong Christian faith thread through each. There are no murders in any of them. This book focuses on a copy of Katherine Lee Bates poem called "Pike's Peak" which is the basis of the song "America the Beautiful." A copy turns up in the Donation Book Bin at Mary's Bookshop.     3. I started this book with great hopes: the whole idea of a bookstore and recovered historic documents is so exciting and has such potential! Instead, I could not get past the sophomoric writing style of the author. I could expand on that, but only at the risk of insulting the many readers who love her works and who are perfectly happy with oh, I'd just better shut up.
