    1. 4 ½ Stars! ~ The hallucinations and voices that torment her mind create a living nightmare for Destiny Rue. It was predicted that her mother’s insanity would claim her too before she turned 30, and Dee’s darkest fears seemed to be coming true. Especially when she meets businessman Kade Sharpe and strange things begin to happen; things that only an insane person would believe in. Kade is an Ash Demon Warrior. His race had been created from the ashes of Nero’s burning. They are the most hig [...]

    2. A quick, easy read--less than 300 pages. For being a Harlequin Romance book, it seemed to lack the love/sex scenes that other books have. It was a little slow to start, but good nonetheless. There didn't seem to be as much suspense as I thought there would be, it was mostly inner turmoil from Destiny and Kadenshar, and I'm used to Harlequin books with a paranormal storyline having adventure and suspense--getting chased, fight scenes, etc. In this respect I was slightly disappointed. At the beginn [...]

    3. Overall, I'm not sorry that I read Saving Destiny. It was the first paranormal I've read that portrayed a demon as a hero, and that it did very well. By the end of the story I was fully infatuated with Kade, who (all flaws aside) is a well written character. He has depth and personality. He has multiple motivations guiding his actions, and the motivations are pulling him in completely opposite directions. This is what makes me more forgiving of his internal dialogue and self-doubts than Dee's. H [...]

    4. This is apparently a later book in a series. It wasn't clear how many previous books belong to this series, how far down the line this one falls, but it really shouldn't be read alone. I found it tough to follow the story line, which involves some kind of demon and a heroine who is either the doom of the demons or the savior of them. It wasn't clear which--and it's possible that she might be both, depending on her choices. I found this story confusing and unfortunately forgettable. I have not be [...]

    5. It's been a long time since I've read "series" romances. This is a good book, but I felt like important parts of the story were left out to meet a word count maximum. There were several things that I wanted more information on (such as what being a "Crystal Goddess" entailed and what all Destiny could do once she obtained her full powers), and the ending just didn't satisfy me.

    6. This is a story about a witch who does not know about her talents and thinks that she is going insane. An Ash Demon has been sent to get her and bring to his people. But legends say that the Crystal Healer and the Ash Demon will unite to balance the world of good and evil.

    7. I read most of it but didn't care enough about the characters to finish it. No spark for me.
