    1. Good plot-writing gets progressively better through the series- editing not so great some beta readers or a decent editor would helpPlot is solid, characters likeable especially animals. Some editing misses, even as series gets more interesting and well developed. Good read if you overlook the misused words and occasional ill constructed sentence

    2. A nice coming of age story that I really enjoyed reading. I usually dislike books where the antagonist are bullies. It makes me feel too much the helplessness of the character to enjoy the rest of the story. This was nicely readable, and the story really worked well, and the characters moved in a believable way. I also liked the maturity and growth of the characters.

    3. First sentencesKile Veller sat alone, on the top of the hill, under the shade of an old oak tree as she watched the people go about their seemingly busy lives. A young girl of seventeen, long red hair that she keeps tied in a pony tail. An average girl with an average face, though some would say attractive, although she never liked her nose. It was her father’s nose and she had issues with her father. She was small, compared with most, slender, almost frail looking, but then why had she chosen [...]

    4. I was really looking forward to this book, I had just finished the previous book in the series and had really enjoyed it. Kile had developed into a very interesting heroine and unlike many YA Fantasy novels the story wasn’t turning into a teenage romance. Unfortunately less than a quarter of the way into this book I realised I really didn’t like this plot, however I still enjoyed the action involving Kile and discovered that the story was still absorbing enough for me to ignore the basic plo [...]

    5. Stronger plot. Still some stupid people, but that's perhaps from Kyle's point of view. Viewpoint shifts occasionally in this book, and those characters take on more depth. Still doesn't need editing so much as proof reading, but this book is better on this front. "Dinning" made a reappearance as well as a few homonyms like "aloud" for "allowed", and some other typos and transpositions and autocorrects. Still distracting but the story is what I'm looking for this week so I'm looking past that.

    6. When will the next book be out? This is an excellent series!!! I love the heroine, Kile!! She has a well rounded background and character development that is as puzzling to her sometimes as it is to the reader. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys action and adventure as well as fantasy! The only fault I found is the lack of a good copy editor.
