Since I wasn't following Arsenal during the Invincibles season, I've only read about it, and bits and pieces at that. This book takes the reader the closest to travelling back in time and watching every game that is possible without the discovery of time travel (which doesn't happen until 2029 or so). As an Arsenal fan I have to say this is a must read book for any gooner who likes the reading. It's pretty interesting how you can travel through the entire 2003-2004 season and feel like you were there in the exactly moment when the Arsenal was winning the unbeaten Premier League. I also have to say that they wrote about the Champions League season (in fact they even describe the FA Cup and the league cup) and it's interesting because you can see the Arsenal´s european debacle is not a new thi [...]
Read as an Arsenal fanMatch reports tended to get a bit repatative and hence boringere is only so much one can do with a football. But some parts did sparkleke Henry's goal at Liverpool. What I found more interesting was the additional tidbits and anecdotes.Especially couple of ones Martin Keown or Jens Lehmann was involved in.All in all a breezy read for an Arsenal Fan.
Amy Lawrence's book on the Invincibles is still the defining history of that team, but this is a great glossy, with photos and commentary and "fan perspective." Well worth a read.
