    1. There’s so much detail in this little story, that when I came up out of the book I was confused to realize that I’m not in Sweet Grove with them. Harley is such a sunny, inspirational character that it’s completely heartbreaking what she’s had to overcome to get this point in her life. Jake is just utterly adorable. I wish we lived in a day and age where he wasn’t fighting an uphill battle against the macho stereotype to do what he loves to do. The romance between them is so sweet and [...]

    2. NO SPOILERS so I will just say that there is no attempt in a short novella to delve into where's and whyfors of an extremely serious topic although it forms the basis of the personality and reactions of the character. The more overarching concern is recovery therefrom, making a life, and the approach to that which forms the basis of this delightful story.

    3. This book brings back memories of a saying that we used at Lay Witness Missions in the early 1970's: "Let go and Let God". When this is done, you will find that there will always be someone who will listen and understand. What a good book! But I expected it to be good because of Kathy Zebert's books. She has yet to let me down.

    4. I enjoy the Sweet Grove stories, but this novella really seemed like more of a satellite story than the others in this series. There were very few Sweet Grove characters -- mostly 2 people new to town making a life there. I liked the characters but didn't get to know them enough. This story deserved more in-depth treatment, and some proofreading errors cost it a star.

    5. I really liked this book. Harley has such a great outlook despite her past (felt for her). Jake is such a sweet guy. Loved how they met. Can these two become more than co-workers? This one left me with a good feeling and stayed on my mind.
