She has gone through alot, but shows through determination you can continue on.There were real people listed in the book that work great for moving onto someone else to learn about. Harriet Beecher Stowe (and her book, Uncle Tom's Cabin), John Rankin, Elizabeth Blackwell and more) It led to great conversations about Cincy, then and now.It was an all around fun book with lots to think about.
