    1. A master of environmental portraiture. His awareness of lines, shapes, forms, the sitter becomes a secondary element of the overall photograph. The plates are large and reproduced very well. I couldn't get over the way everything intersects and interacts in each photo. Very interesting. When I was in DC I was lucky enough to cane my way through the Women of Our Time photography exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery, where I found myself repeatedly drawn to the work of Arnold Newman. It was to my great delight, then, when this fabulous remainder came into the store, snatched up with my employee discount for a mere $12. Lovely lovely stuff.
